The lovely bloggers at Book Monsters have decided to do a review-a-thon. Here is an exerpt from the post that went out today:
"With our last review-a-thon being so successful (both with participants and reviews done), Kristen and I have been dying to have another. And with her having a four day weekend, we thought PERFECT!
Again, we have oodles and oodles of books that need to be reviewed. And with the holidays around the corner, it is now or never with our backlog. We are however doing things a little differently this time due to both the shortish notice and time frame...."
Review-a-Thon
To put it simply, I NEED this. I have been finding that it helps me to take notes as I read so that I can remember certain things for the reviews that I post. The last couple of months, I have been on the reading train that I do not pause to write a review of what I am reading. That was one of the whole points behind doing this blog. I know that I will not be reading that much in November (NANOWRIMO) so I want to get as many reviews up as possible. I will be happy if I get 5-7 reviews done this weekend as I am about 10 behind. Also, I want to finish Divergent by Veronica Roth. If you have not already read this book please do yourself a favor and do it as soon as possible.

Waiting on Wednesday (6) Insurgent- Veronica Roth
Waiting on Wednesday (6)-
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that I’m eagerly anticipating.
Insurgent- Veronica Roth
One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.
Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.
New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature. (Good Reads)

I am reading Divergent by Veronica Roth right now and I love it so far. I know this book isn’t coming out for a very long time, but I will be waiting.

In My Mailbox October 2, 2011
In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi
These are all books that I got from my library.
Anna Dressed in Blood- Kendare Black
13 reasons Why- Jay Asher
Juliet Immportal- Stacey Jay
Night World Number 1: Secret vampire ; Daughters of darkness ; Spellbinder -L.J. Smith
two copies of The Night Circus- Erin Morgenstern
I reserved one from the library (that I will have for a week) and then my brother surprised me and gave me his own copy because he is currently obsessed with his Kindle and downloaded it on that.
Needless to say I have been a very busy girl reserving books at the library. I feel like I am playing a game with my local library because I will be on a very long car trip at the end of October so I am currently in the process of foguring out what books I need to reserve now and which ones I need to return only to reserve again to take them for my trip. That sounds bad. Does anyone else do this? Now we just have to see if I can get to most of them.
